Car and SUV registration

A daily driver, collector car and newly purchased SUV can require different paperwork. Start with the vehicle’s ownership history, model year and financing status so the quote reflects the service you actually need.

Match the vehicle to the ownership documents

Have the VIN, model year, make and model ready. Check that the title, MCO or COO identifies the same vehicle and review any recorded lien before selecting the ownership-document option. If the title is missing, choose that path rather than treating a bill of sale as a replacement title.

Age and registration options

Car and SUV quotes distinguish vehicles four years old or newer, five to ten years old, and eleven or more years old. The model year entered at checkout must match your selection. Eligible older vehicles can choose the permanent-registration upgrade; ongoing Montana LLC maintenance is separate.

Financing and original MSRP

A lender must authorize a transfer into a Montana LLC when that is the selected path. If the lender will not allow it, the quote directs you to a reviewed South Dakota option. For qualifying newer high-MSRP vehicles, answer using the original new MSRP, not the current sale price.

Prepare an accurate quote

Select the correct age, ownership and financing answers before reviewing the itemized total. A saved draft is not an order. Use Add to Cart after the quote is complete, then enter the matching vehicle information at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I quote a classic car without a title?

Choose missing ownership documents in the quote. Vehicle age, ownership evidence and any inspection requirements need review; an older model year does not by itself guarantee approval.

Is LLC maintenance included in permanent vehicle registration?

No. Permanent vehicle registration and Montana LLC maintenance are separate services and obligations.
